Kota barrage is a big dam of  kota district in Rajasthan .Kota barrage is located about 0.8 KM of kota district in rajasthan . kota barrage is the 4th in the series of chambel valley project . the total catchment area of kota barrage is 27,332 km2  of which the free catchment area below JAWAHAR SAGAR DAM is just of 138 KM .  water released after power generation at gandhi sagar dam ,rana pratap sagar and jawahar sagar dams is diverted by kota barrage for distributed for Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh . completion year of kota barrage dam in 1960. the total length of the main canals,branch and distributed is about 2342 km. The barrage operates 18 gate to control flow of flood and canal water downstream . the river has a drop of 625 mfrom its origin at upto kota city where it enters into the plains. An engineering marvel of the present time . kota barrage has a total storage capacity of 99 mm3 . Spread over a total catchment area of 27, 332 km², Kota Barrage serves numerous functions for the welfare of the region.
